Twenty-seven years with Lee County Schools as Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal and Assistant Superintendent. Retired in 2003.

Previously served on the Miss Smiths Station Scholarship Pageant Board, a Miss Alabama and Miss America Preliminary.

Organizer of the Original Smiths Station Founder's Day Celebration, and served as the Executive Chairman in 2005, 2004, and 2003.

Married September 6, 1969 to the former Brenda Sue Weatherly (SSHS class of '68)

Currently employed by Chattahoochee County (GA) Schools as an Assistant Superintendent.

Morris Jackson - Place 2

Born in Salem, Alabama.

Retired from Georgia Power Company after 42 years of service. 

Supervisor of Operations, Maintenance for the Chattahoochee Hydro Group.

Associate in Arts Degree from Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Alabama

 


 

Richard "Dick" Key - Place 5

Served in the U.S. Air Force

Retired in 1992 from Equifax Services after 33 years of service

Degree in Business Management from Columbus State University

Graduate of the Local Government Training Institute in Alabama.

Served 2 terms as Lee County Commissioner - District 3

Former President of The Association of County Commissioners of Alabama.

Serving 6th year on the Smiths Station Planning & Zoning Commission.

Alabama Certified Planner

Alabama Certified Lobbist

Lived in Smiths Station 46 years with his wife Linda,and have 6 Children, 17 Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandchild.
